Maddington Rover Crew

Rovers

Rovers is the place to be for personal challenge, adventure, life-long friendships and all sorts of memory-making moments! Where else could you perform on stage one week, abseil the next and then help your local environment group out with tree-planting the next?

Rovers is the eldest youth section of Scouts, catering for 18 to 26 year old men and women. Unlike the younger sections, Rovers are completely self-governing. There are no “adult” leaders making the decisions for you. Rovers offer many opportunities for leadership and personal development.

Rovers are often thought of affectionately as "Giant Joey Scouts who drive cars" because of their sense of fun and helpfulness.

Rovers participate in many activities with other Crews such as

  • Mission Impossible - Annual statewide gathering of Rovers and invited guests from other sections for a weekend of themed fun and challenges visit M.I. website
  • Bush Baja - Annual off-road rally car racing
  • Rover Ball - Annual themed Ball
  • Sand Moot - Annual themed weekend camp
  • Gravel Moot - Weekend of fun while carrying out service projects at Manjedal
  • Quokka Moot - Weekend of fun while carrying out service projects at Rottnest Island
